Strawberry Picking
Mommy promised Helena back in the winter that when it was the appropriate time of year, they could go strawberry picking. Well, that turned out to be today.
All ready to go picking
Helena trying to find the perfect strawberry
"Check out this strawberry!"
Helena and Daddy showing off their strawberries
Helena: "Think of all the strawberry shortcake we can have!"
Daddy: "Think of all the strawberry daiquiris we can make!"
"Time to go home and clean some strawberries!"
Taking a break after walking through the fields
"Bye-bye! See you in the fall for apples!"

Milestone!
Jonathan slept through the night last night; he finally fell asleep around 9:00 p.m. and he didn't wake up until 6:00 a.m. Of course, his parents were up periodically throughout the night checking on him because he had not made a sound.

Exercise
Winner, winner...
Thank you everybody who contributed money toward the March of Dimes Walkathon at Helena's school. We were proud to learn that Helena raised the most money in her class. Allegedly, when her teacher announced that she was the "winner", Helena shouted, "Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!" She apparently has picked this up from her father, and if you don't know the movie reference, go see "21".

Helena showing off her marching technique (notice that one of her favorite TV shows, TMZ, is on in the background. She likes the catch-line at the end - "I'm a lawyer." Of course, so is her Daddy!)

Jonathan's one month check-up!
Jonathan went for his one-month doctor's check-up today. The tale-of-the-tape: Jonathan tips the scale at 10 lbs., 4 oz. His length (it doesn't count as height until you can actually stand) is 21 3/4 inches. The doctor commented that he is actually tall for his age (ironic since his parents are far from being giants). The doctor was in awe as Jonathan went to town sucking his thumb; apparently babies as young as he is are not so fond of their thumbs. I wonder where he picked that one up from? Regardless, the doctor was pleased to say that he is a normal and healthy baby, despite his mother advising the doctor that he is a maniac from 7 to 10 p.m.

Finally....Go Blue!
I know Jonathan is not even a month old yet, but Daddy has been upset that he has yet to wear anything sporting his alma mater. Mommy must have been feeling sympathetic for Daddy and put Jonathan in this onesie, although it does not quite fit yet. Less than four months until college football season!

It's fun to swim at the Y-M-C-A...on the Rutgers Campus!
Helena started swim lessons today; good thing it was indoors because it has been pouring rain all day. There aren't that many pictures because parents were kept out of the pool area and behind thick glass to watch. The class was also cut short because of a lightening warning (the teacher said that they will actually get extra time next week because this week was so short).
Helena waiting her turn to swim (she is sitting above the two "EE's")
"Watch out Michael Phelps! I am coming for your swimming records."
