Helena wouldn't go near T-Rex, but Jonathan had no choice because he was strapped in his stroller!
At Yankee Stadium they have the Bleacher Creatures. Based on the presentation we saw at the museum, this "creature" may roam around Fenway Park.
Jonathan versus Food
We are big fans of the show Man versus Food on the Travel Network in which the host tackles a food challenge at a given restaurant. On our trip this past weekend, we stopped off at Eagle's Deli on the campus of Boston College in which the challenge is to eat five 1 lb loaded burgers as well as 5 lbs. of fries. Needless to say, we didn't take part in that...but Jonathan attempted his own food challenge.

Cake Boss
The family headed to Hoboken, New Jersey to visit Carlo's Bake Shop, made famous by the show "Cake Boss," which follows the life of Chef Buddy Valestro and his family-run bakery. The line was halfway down the block mid-morning, but the baked goods were completely worth it.

Two of Buddy Valestro's sisters (the blond and the dark-haired woman to her right behind the register)
The guy in the white behind the counter is NOT who you want delivering your wedding cake (he dropped one down a flight of stairs on one episode)

No power...no problem!
Last night we experienced horrible rains and winds that knocked out our power from approximately 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. That did not deter the family from getting out flashlights and candles, warm clothes, and extra blankets to make it through the night.
Helena showing off her flashlight, so she can see while she was reading, and her bodysuit pajamas, so she could stay warm (it's amazing how bright the camera's flash made the room).
Helena showing off her new flashlight for the next time we lose power (or if she ever decides to go spelunking or compete on The Amazing Race!)

Jonathan is 11 months old!
Jonathan has been rapidly walking throughout the house the past month, and getting into trouble. He also is really into his eating, as is evident by the picture (it would be hard to categorize him as a picky eater). He especially likes sliced turkey, ground beef, shredded cheese, and pasta (obviously, not all at the same time)...but most any food placed on his plate is fine by him!

Welcome to my town!
Jonathan had heard that a new restaurant came to town, and he felt it was only appropriate that he have his family join him in welcoming the new restaurant (and its staff) to town. Not only did kids eat free when we went, but the waitresses were more than willing to take a picture with him. Incidentally, this is Jonathan's second experience at this chain's restaurant (see June 2009, Rehoboth Beach).
