Race for the Cure
The family was in New York City today as Jeff participated in the Komen Race for the Cure against breast cancer, in support of one of his work colleagues. Jeff was joined by some of his work colleagues as well as Sara, Helena, Jonathan, and his parents who came in to show their support for his participation. Thank you everybody that offered their support by making a donation.

Jonathan is 5 months old!
Jonathan is rolling front to back and back to front. He is also trying to scoot a bit like he wants to crawl. Some mornings we find him peacefully asleep on his belly while sucking on his thumb (he actually fell asleep on the family room floor on a blanket tonight in that position before he even had his bedtime bottle). Two weeks ago he started on rice cereal and baby food (green vegetables and sweet potatoes). He's a big fan of all of it, and he would probably eat real food if we gave it to him. I am pretty certain that yesterday he was smacking his lips watching us eat during the football game. And for those who wondered why I didn't have him hold up a number like in past month birthdays, check out the number on his shirt.

Hail to the Victors!
Today officially started college football season, which means it is Jonathan's induction into the family tradition of tailgating and football watching on Fall Saturdays. Helena was all excited for the food and helping Sara making mini-pizzas, though, as the pictures show, she was not wild about being photographed as well. Thankfully, Michigan did not leave us disappointed and started off this season with a clear-cut win. Hopefully that continues for most of the season or else our Saturdays will just be about eating food!
