Fall weekend

The calendar says it is the Fall season, even if the temperature has been on the warmer side. Helena had soccer on Saturday, and afterwards went apple and pumpkin picking with Sara. Other random photos from the weekend are included as well.

Helena was confused by this sign at first because she though it meant her brother was nearby (he was homing watching college football with his Daddy)

Jonathan sneaking a nap while in Target (this is what happens when you choose to get up at 5:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning). He probably would benefit from the Red Bull on the shelf behind him.

Jonathan didn't flinch when he was placed back in the car after leaving Target

Jonathan likes this batting helmet; he cried when we took it off his head.

Just the two of us

It's nice that Helena and Jonathan are at ages where they actually enjoy doing things together.

Last Friday, they posed as they were both brushing their teeth before they headed off to school.

This morning, they posed before heading off to school; it was pajama day at school today!

Easy Fast

Over the weekend, we finished celebrating Yom Kippur. We ended the fast with family and friends.

First Day of School

It's hard to believe how quickly the time has flown by because today was Helena's first day of kindergarten. Although the day got off to a rocky start (Helena took the bus to school with the AM kids even though she was signed up for the PM session), she had an excellent first day of kindergarten...and she is looking forward to going back tomorrow. Helena's parents tried not to embarass her too much despite following her bus to school to take pictures...and snapping a picture of her as she got off the bus on her afternoon trip home. The good news is that it is only 12 more years until she starts college!

Inked!

I forgot to post this a week or so ago after Jonathan got a "washable" tattoo at summer camp. It only took two or three days to actually get it completely washed off.

It's that time of year again!

It's been 9 months without college football, but that all changed today. Thankfully, it started off on the right foot with a great spread of food prepared by Sara and, these days, an unexpected Michigan victory!

Helena and Jeff posing in front of the appetizers. Dinner was home-made pizzas and calzones.

They say timing is everything. Not to brag, but this was a perfect shot of the opening ABC video montage before the Michigan game. Helena wanted to pose in front of the TV while the game was on.

Jonathan couldn't even taken his eyes off of the game for one picture

Ok - so both Jonathan and Helena eventually got bored with the game and wanted to play
