Helena lost her first tooth

Helena has had a loose tooth since March. This weekend it seemed to get looser, and it was really bothering her. So, this afternoon she finally yanked it out on her own. I guess that means she will be getting a visit from the tooth fairy tonight! Here's to hoping that her teeth will come back in straight so she doesn't need braces!

Happy Father's Day

Daddy must have had a good idea during Mother's Day with the pancakes because Mommy copied it for Father's Day today.

Mary Poppins

Helena had her first Broadway experience over the weekend. As a reward for doing well during the school year, Mommy and Daddy took her to see Mary Poppins. She was in awe during the Second Act when Mary Poppins flew into the crowd, and she enjoyed dancing around to the songs.

Congratulations on Helena's Kindergarten Graduation

We are honored to have celebrated Helena's kindergarten graduation last night. Helena actually got a double-dose of kindergarten by attending the kindergarten program in the morning at her daycare and in the afternoon at our local public school. Needless to say, Daddy is thankful it is summer time so no more homework three days a week, book reports, and sight word practice. Helena did awesome in her school work and also used the new environments to make new friends. We are very proud of her achievements this year, and we are looking forward to her many more years of success.

Dancing Queen

Today was Helena's dance showcase for her "hip hop" and jazz dance class. Her five months of classes and practice culminated in approximately 10 minutes of showing off her moves. Short video clips of her dancing will be posted shortly.

Memorial Day Weekend

This is a belated posting from last weekend. Besides celebrating the 2nd birthday of Jonathan and Helena's friend Jordan, they also visited cousin Rose in Brooklyn. Bubbe visted Helena and Jonathan for the weekend as well, and they had Grandma and Grandpa over for a barbecue last Sunday.
