Cape May

Lighthouses, salt water taffy, and shopping. We kept pretty busy in Cape May.
Helena made it up the 130 steps to the top of the Cape May lighthouse. She quickly ran inside after it got windy. Her legs were sore the next day.

It's good to know that we will not be getting a pet iguana. Jonathan wanted nothing to do with this lizard.
Helena through a penny in the fountain for good luck. It worked for Sara, not for Jeff, in the casinos.
To kill some time before dinner, Helena and Jeff went minature golf. The highlight was Helena getting a hole in one.

Ocean City and more

On Friday, we headed down to Ocean City, NJ to walk the boardwalk. Along the way, we made a stop at a famous cookie store. On the way back, we stopped at a national landmark - Lucy the wooden elephant.
There was only one place to go for cookies in Ocean City, and that was Crazy Susan's.

Jonathan fell asleep on the ride from Ocean City back north, but he quickly woke up once he realized we had reached Lucy the wooden elephant.

We saw this restaurant on the way down and we snapped a shot on the way back. It says on the banner it is Kosher Italian. I forgot that Italy was known for falafel!

Happy 40th Birthday Sara!

May 24th was Sara's 40th birthday. We celebrated the occasion by heading down to the Jersey shore for a long weekend.
